How Can A Spider Bite Infection On The Leg Be Treated?
I was bitten by a spider on the back of the leg a week ago. Initially had stabbing pain then slight throb extended around the leg, this was gone by the next morning. I now have localised redness and itching with a hard lump where I was bitten. Anything to be concerned about?
Seems presence of local site inflammation. Suggestions for better outcome are: • Clean the part with antiseptic liquid thoroughly, Neosporin or Framycetin type skin creams help to recover faster • In our clinic, we recommend Penicillin group of antibiotics with anti-inflammatory agents according to the clinical severity with regular follow-up progress evaluation • Benadryl can take care of itching
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Purva Patel
