How Can A Sprained Thumb Be Treated?

I m not sure if it is a form of arthritis, but I thought I sprained my left thumb, however, it has been already a couple of months and it is still painful. Sometimes when I bend my thumb accidentally, it will stay is a fixed bent position and be very painful. Currently, I am unable to bend it.

I think this may not be related to trauma but may be a sign of arthritis.

You can do an X-ray and blood tests to evaluate it.
