How Can A Swollen Left Tonsil Be Treated?

My left tonsil has been swollen since a day ago. Yesterday i gargled on warm water mixed with ginger and feeling abit relieved,i slept only to wake up a few hours later feeling the same. I cant seem to find a perfect sleeping position too. What can i do?

For Tonsilitis I would recommend warm saline gargles, throat soothing lozenges. Avoid eating cold and sour food items
I would also advice an antibiotic like Amoxicillin and an over the counter pain killer like Acetaminophen.
