Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son recently went to the doctor for a sore on his foot that was very tender to the touch. He couldn t even touch it lightly without hurting. The pain would keep him awake at night. The doctor drained it and sent in a culture. It was an infection that was starting to spread so it s good he went in. The letter from the doctor said it was Many Staphylococcus aureus, MRSA (!) He said the antibiotic he put him on shoud take care of the infection. My son just text me tonight and said he has been urinating a lot (I think since he started the medicine). Is that ok? Can that be a side effect of the antibiotic or a sign of something we should be concerned about? My son is in college. I do not know the name of the antibiotic but can find that out if you need to know.
