How Can A Throat Burn Be Treated?
About 5 days ago I ate a vegetable patty that was cooked in the microwave I didn t realise that the inside of the patty was a lot hotter than the outside when I swallowed it it burnt my throat and I have some pain in the middle of my chest I am finding it really difficult to swallow even liquids let alone food I have managed to eat some custard but everything has to be at room temperature as if it s too cold or hot it hurts too much. I have been taking Gaviscon but it just seems to be taking a long time to heal is this normal? Can you suggest anything else that might help?

As per your history, you have difficulty in swallowing, it may be tonsillitis. You may require antibiotic like tab. Azithromycin, tab. Paracetamol, tab. Phenylephrine and cough syrup after consultation. Keep yourself hydrated. Do saline or Betadine gargling. Take proper rest. Kindly do complete hemogram and chest X-ray after consultation.
