How Can A Toe Injury Be Treated?

last wed i broke my second toe (next to pinky) i have had it wrapped to the third one and there is no swelling but i can feel the click of small bone if i have to walk. the break seems to be at the bone were it connects to toe. will this continue to heal if i just keep it wrapped and stay off for a few more weeks. afraid that this bone will keep hitting the inside skin etc since it is not connected. even though it is such a small bone in that toe?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Better to consult an orthopedician and get an X-ray taken to rule out a possible fracture.

If the fracture is there it has to be immobilized using a small brace.

As of now, you can apply ice packs for symptomatic relief.

You can also take analgesics if there is the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
