How Can A Torn Frenulum Be Treated?

hello, my partner just tore his frenulum during intercourse. I was wondering what is the best thing to do as he refuses to go to a doctor. it has stopped bleeding but I was wondering about care for it while it heals? is there anything in particular he should do to prevent infection and promote healing? thankyou

Also known as the "banjo string," the frenulum is the foreskin of the penis and it can tear, leading to discomfort and irregular bleeding. Due to the tightness of the foreskin, the frenulum can tear during sexual intercourse. It may also be torn due to physical abuse or other incidents. In some cases, the torn skin may not heal on its own; this may cause it to continue tearing in the same place. An operation called "frenuloplasty" may be required to repair the issue.
This operation involves increasing the length of the frenulum, to allow comfortable intercourse and prevents the risk of future tearing of the frenulum. After undergoing the operation, it is recommended to abstain from sex for at least 6 weeks, as stated by NHS. A doctor should be visited after the operation to check the healing progress of the frenulum and to ensure further complications are avoided.
