Hi,

If the symptoms are persisting even after 10 days of antibiotic initiation, then it is likely that the bacteria causing infection is resistant to the antibiotic she is taking. It is ideal to switch to another antibiotic depending on the culture and sensitivity results.

Please be advised to follow up with her treating physician to discuss the possibility of antibiotic resistance. Also, make sure to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. She may also take Tylenol if the pain is bothersome.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
