How Can A Vaginal Cramp After Removing A Tampon Be Treated?

Hi I ended up having to take my tampon out after no problem inserting and wearing it for a bit. I am a heavy to medium bleeder so i use a medium absorbancy with a pad because I have heard of stories where the tampon has gotten stuck or caused trauma to the vaginal wall. I took it out but i am still having cramp like feeling . It feels like the tampon is still inside and it is is up too far but i know its not because i removed it . What should I do?

Hello,

Nothing much to worry and the pain will settle by itself with conservative management.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists you can consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
