How Can A Vaginal Infection Be Treated?

Hi, I had my embryo transfer yesterday. I have had a yeast infection and managed to clear most of it with Canestan cream but have still got creamy white discharge. I am nervous because I am using 6 x 200mg Utrogestan pessaries vaginally to increase my progesterone levels and I am nervous of spreading the infection to the uterus. Is this possible? Do I have any other options?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

To treat yeast vaginal infection, you should have an appointment with your obstetric doctor. He will examine you and take samples from your cervix uteri to see if you need any more treatment or not.

All the best.
