Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my wife had a wart on the back of her hand by the knuckels. Over 2 or 3 weeks we froze it. Then it dried & all but a little came off. We then put some duck tape to get the last thin layer which got almost all the rest. Then because it had no feeling, we pulled the last layer off. It now looks it s all gone.but the small debet that is left. The question is: Do we put anything on it like hydrogon peroxide? and do we keep it covered for a few days? and is it still contagious? Please forgive the spelling Thanki you so much for your help Larry
I would recommend seeking medical attention for treatment of your warts. It is best to use a salicylic acid based product, like wartex, or use podophyllin paint on the affected area as directed by your doctor. A dermatologist may also use liquid nitrogen to treat your warts.
I don't recommend any home remedies as you may damage your skin/injure yourself in the process making the problem worse. Secondary bacterial infection is also a risk.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
All the best.
Regards, Dr. Musarrath Raboobee
