I waxed off my upper lip and I accidentally pulled some skin along with it. It s become red in those areas and it hasn t gone yet. It s been 24 hours now. I covered it up with a little make up when I went outside but now I m scared it will become permanent. My upper lip is reddish brown on those and I don t want scarring. How can I heal this quick? I have soframicin and fucidin as well.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Well, such injuries commonly leaves no scars so do not worry about it. As it is just 24 hours you need not to worry as it will improve in 3-4 days. For now you can apply ice pack over it. Apply Soframycin ointment to avoid infection. Do not touch it again and again. It will gradually get better and scarring is very rare to occur.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora
