How Can A Wound On The Big Toe Be Treated?

hi doctor kumar yesterday my big toe had a deep cut just at the edge of the toe nail. the blood were dripping and the tissue papers i used to stop the blood were soak wet . after after two hours i wash up my body and the wound and applied the anticbacteria cream and plaster it. The plaster were quite soaked with the cream and blood. I change the plaster and clean the wound with saline liquid and apply the anticbacteria cream and plaster it overnight. This afternoon i when to take my bath and change the dressing. i notice that there were some fiuds coming out from the edge of the wound and the fresh surrounding the toe is a bit reddish. there no pain but below the toe the feeling is a bit numb. kindly please advise me on this cut wound. thank you very much best regards Lex there s no pain but the bottom of the toe is a bit numb.

Hello,my name is dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern.
Some advices that I can give to you are:     
-an antibiotic cream or pill can clear up the infection
-lift the nail and place a piece of cotton or a splint underneath it.
-Soak the toe for about 15 minutes in a bathtub or bucket filled with warm water and salt. Do this three to four times a day.
-Rub a medicated ointment on the toe and wrap it in a clean bandage.
