How Can Abdominal Bloating And Excessive Burping Be Treated?

I have been feeling gas for several weeks, burping a lot more than normal. In the last two weeks I am feeling very bloated and full. After eating in the evening, it is very uncomfortable sitting on the sofa. Standing isn t as bad. Even my arm resting on my stomach as a type is uncomfortable and my clothes feel tight. I am overweight and I do have gastroparesis.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) is more likely.
GERD is due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter. Because of this, the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause gaseous distention, bloating, chest pain, tightness, pressure etc.
So follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
2. Take pantoprazole and levosulperide combination twice daily on empty stomach.
3. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
4. Loose weight by exercising and dieting.
5. Go for walking after meals.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
