Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Pregnancy is a condition that may bring about weight gain. Two years is enough time to take your back to normal. Generally, you put on weight when you eat more than you work, that is, energy formed is more than energy you use for your daily activities. The excess energy will be stored in the form of fats. I will advise you try the following home measures:
• Regular physical exercises including weight lifting
• Cut back on sugars and starches
• Eat protein, fat, and vegetables
• Avoid sugary drinks and fruit juice
• Eat only when hungry
• Drink water a half hour before meals
• Eat soluble fiber
• Drink coffee or tea
• Eat mostly whole, unprocessed foods
• Eat your food slowly and use smaller plates
• Get a good night’s sleep every night and avoid stress
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mbuomboh Veranso
