How Can Abdominal Pain Be Treated?

I have stomach aches three-four times a week. Sometimes the pain isn t bad but other times it s barely tolerable. These stomach aches, when bad, come along with goose bumps and cold/ hot flashes. I talked to my doctor about this and she said this is the cause of blood rushing to my gut, but she didn t know why I was having these periodic stomach pains. These pains are almost alway followed by diarrhea. Any thoughts on what this could be? I tried going milk/ dairy free for 2 weeks but still continued to have these pains so I am not lactose intolerant.

hi mam/sir,most probably it might be an IRRITABLE BOWEL DISEASE.Screening studies to rule out disorders other than IBS include the following:
Complete blood count with differential to screen for anemia, inflammation, and infection
A comprehensive metabolic panel to evaluate for metabolic disorders and to rule out dehydration/electrolyte abnormalities in patients with diarrhea
Stool examinations for ova and parasites, enteric pathogens, leukocytes, Clostridium difficile toxin, and possibly Giardia antigen.so,you need to consult a gastroenterologist for further management.Management of irritable bowel syndrome consists primarily of providing psychological support and recommending dietary measures. Pharmacologic treatment is adjunctive and should be directed at symptoms.Fiber supplementation may improve the symptoms of constipation and diarrhea.Caffeine avoidance may limit anxiety and symptom exacerbation.just relax its not that big problem and is easily manageable.take care.bye.
