Absence seizure is a disorder where your child has momentary seizures that are not typically like vigorous shaking of hands and legs but the child is absent from reality. His mind has repeated electrical discharges that cause seizures. It occurs over a thousand times in a day and he doesn t know about it. Perhaps his teachers would have told he doesn t pay attention to class lately or he isn t present mentally when he is spoke to. Treatment usually is to try and remove the causative factor. In case this fails, he shall be put in a drug called Ethosuccimide which will help his condition and improve him drastically.
