How Can Acid Reflux Be Treated?

I was having heartburn and Gerd symptoms found out my gallbladder needed to be removed. Was taken off my nexium and liquid medicine for ny stomach. I hadn t had any trouble for three months but over Thanksgiving had some heartburn, just wondered if I needed to take something by mouth ( prilosec or nexium) again?

Hello dear
I understand your concern

Your heart burn could be due to indigestion,acid reflux.
This is a common problem after gall bladder removal
Take following advises:
Avoid high carbohydrate and high fat diet
Take small frequent meal rather than large meal
Take more yogurt and butter milk
Prebiotics and probiotics: help in regrowth of normal flora of the gut
Drink lots of fluids like water and fruit juices(3 to 4 litres/day)
Do regular exercise, 45-60 minutes in the morning and evening
Make sure that your bowel movement is regular and there is no constipation
Following medicine can be use:
Tablet metoclopromide at the bed time
Tablet nexium
Bismuth subgallate orally
Tablet unienzyme: help in the digestion
