How Can Acid Reflux Be Treated?

Iam aged about 82 years the burning sensation starts after 1 hour or so upon taking food and remains for about 30/40minutes. This occurs not always. I am hale and healthy , no sugar, blood pressure is okay and doing yoga (surya namaskar) I am indebted to you for suggesting possible remedy

Hello, Thanks for the query.
The complaint mentioned is related to hyperacidity as well as a mild form of Gastro Esophageal Reflux. Please ensure that diet does not contain highly spicy foods. Have regular timely food. Remain erect for over 2 to 3 hours after food, do not lie down. If hyperacidity is more, may take antacids or H2 receptor antagonist like Ranitidine 45 minutes before food. If still the condition does not improve, may consider using PPI like omeprazole or rabeprazole. Thanks.
