Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am on my time of the month and I took ibuprofen to reduce the cramps and still feel icky. Went out to dinner with friends and my boyfriend after that to celebrate that I got the job however once I got home I still felt a little icky. I am getting heartburns, feeling fatigued, and not my best. What can I do to make the feeling go away?
Ibuprofen can cause gastritis and feeling of nausea, heartburn, and occasionally vomiting. You must always take this tablet after food, and please do not take alcohol with it as alcohol in itself can cause gastritis. Please avoid spices, chilies in you food, for faster healing of gastritis. You may please consult a physician and after examination doctor would be able to decide if you require to take medication like Omeprazol to get the gastritis under control faster.
