How Can Acne On The Face Be Treated?

I typically have always had clear skin. I began taking Vimpat for seizures a year ago. In January, I began having terrible breakouts on my face. My diet is good so I am wondering if it is the medication. I also am 50 years old so I wonder if it can be hormonal. I saw a dermatologist and did not feel that she was helpful.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your query.I think that the acne is hormonal related in your case. You may require HRT ( hormonal replacement therapy) along with the treatment of acne. For the acne you may use Clindamycin gel at bed time after a warm compress of the face.
I find this answer helpful
