Hi doctor I am lil confuse about usage of kojic onto my skin . I am having brown acne scars on my face and also I want to have a bright complexion can u please help me what brand and from where should I buy kojic soap so that I dn end up buying a fake one further leading to damage on my skin.
As you know kojic acid is used in skin whitening products. It is usually found in a cream form and mixed in at different percentages with the cream between 2 and 4%. It is gentle and safer as compared to hydroquinone. When kojic acid is used in cosmetics it is safe as long as the product density does not exceed 2% concentration. So use the soap/cream which has 2% concentration. 1% concentration will not work effectively as compared to 2%. In some instances kojic skin lightening creams and soaps have been known to make a user’s complexion lighter than what they expected it to be. Or you can go for chemical peel treatment that is carried out under expert's observation. Results are fast and vary according to your skin condition.
