How Can Acute Legs And Thigh Pain Due To Fractures Be Relieved?

My 87 yr old mother has a long history of osteoporosis and has had many broken bones. She fell again 2 weeks ago and an MRI shows a broken L5. She is in a back brace but the pain in her legs, especially the top of her left leg, mid thigh is unbearable. Any suggestions for pain relief. She takes Oxycontin 10 mg twice a day and Motrin 800 prn.
