Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Aggressive Behaviour Caused After Taking Dicorate Be Treated?
My upcoming wife is taking dicorate, nexito plus, ability and her behaviour has been too much aggressive help me out please, how to reverse it s effect her psychiatrist is very rude and she just said she will never talk to me ,please give me some hope.
As per my clinical experience, the dicorate and nexito plus are both medications used for prevention of epilepsy and the dicorate additionally to control manic episodes of behavior. The side effects of both drugs are drowsiness and dizziness and not aggressive behavior.
The current aggressive behavior indicates either the drug dosage is insufficient, drug response is poor or manic episodes are associated with underlying mood disorder. As her current psychiatrist is very rude and she does not want to talk to you, I recommend an intermediator who will try to convey things on your behalf to her and settle the issue to better way.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
