How Can Allergic Itching Caused By Taking Eliquis Be Treated?

I take Eliquis 2.5mg for atrial fibrillation and have begun to have very sever itching. No obvious rash present but itching from my feet to the top of my head, especially around the areas I perspire the most eg the groin. Not getting much sleep as I scratch all night. All common fungal skin medication do not work. Please advise as to best course of action.

hi sir/mam,severe itching even without a rash could be an allergic reaction to eliquis.severe body itch is also seen in obstructive jaundice(liver pathology).eliquis is not to be suddenly stopped.so kindly report your symptoms to the physician who prescribed it.a thorough examination and a few investigations may be necessary to arrive at a specific diagnosis.until then, for symptomatic relief, tab.vistaril(hydroxyzine) 10mg once or twice daily or tab.zyrtec(cetirizine) 10mg twice daily are recommended.hope my explanation clarifies your doubts and helps you relieve your symptoms.any more issues which i can deal with, please let me know.i'm happy to help you.thank you.take care especially of your heart.bye.
