How Can Allergic Rashes On The Body Be Treated?

I have had a rash - bumps, a little oozy on some of them - almost like a poison ivy rash in the last couple of weeks. I think that it may be from me being in a pool for physical therapy, as that is the only thing that I have done differently in the past few weeks. I am leaving tomorrow on a trip for over 2 weeks, so I really don t have time to go to a clinic today. I did use Caladryl a few times and that seemed to help a little. Should I continue to use that while I m away or should I use something else? Also, should I use a moisturizer like Cerave as well as using something to address the rash?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related s
to an allergic reaction. I suggest you to continue using Caladryl daily.

I also recommend using a steroid lotion for local application. If the symptoms continue you shouldconsult your doctor for about physical examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
