How Can Allergic Rhinitis And Knee Pain Be Treated?

My pcp thinks it s allergies but I usually have seasonal rhinitis this is facial swelling My lips, upper palate are swollen every day, occasionally chin, tip of tongue and checks- mostly during cleaning/decorating for christmas. my eyes are red/itchy with is normal for my seasonal allergies. but not sure if its from the antihistamine but I am tired/depressed and my knees hurt more than usual or it s just that I am hyper aware of my body right now.

Hi,
Thanks for the query

It seems that the symptoms of facial swelling and swollen lips, palate, tongue and cheeks is due to seasonal allergies or allergy to any food or medication.
It can be due to causes like allergic reaction to irritants like pollen, animal dander, dust and mites and at times even certain trees and grasses.
I would suggest you to consult an allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like allergic tests like Patch test, RAST test, food challenge test etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.
Tired and lethargic feeling can be very much a side effect of anti allergic medication. You should discuss the same with the allergy doctor so that he can change to other anti allergies with lesser side effects
You can also be instilled an immunotherapy that will help in reducing the severity and frequency of allergic attack.

Hope this helps.
