How Can Allergic Skin Rash In The Under Arm Be Treated?
seems my daughter got an allergic reaction to an under arm deodorant called Schmidt and it burns alot. She went to doctor and he prescribed a cream called Triamcinolone 0.1 and some pills called Prednisone 20 mg twice a day. is this a good medicine take? have read several reviews which are very bad. please advise if she really needs to take those pills. she was also told to take zyrtez or claritin. Those side effects are really scary for the prednisone. please let me know. thank you
As per your complain if your daughter has got an allergic reaction to deodorant and it is causing severe burning sensation then she has to take anti allergics and oral and topical steroids to relieve the symptoms..
As far as taking steroids is concerned they are commonly given in allergies to relieve the symptoms faster and if taken with a proper tapering dose and for short duration then it will not cause any problems..
Each and every medicine comes with certain warnings, precautions and side effects, therefore you need not to worry as they will cause severe side effects in all individuals in not necessary, therefore you can give the medications to your daughter as advised by your doctor..
Also to reduce burning sensation she can do cool compresses and apply Calamine lotion..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
