How Can An Abscess In The Groin Area Be Treated?
are you there? I was seen by my doctor Wednesday of this week regarding an abcess/cyst in the groin area. The abcess had burst on its own just before my appointment and the doctor cleaned the area and started me on a 10 course of Augmentin 875 mg. My concern is I have a great deal of swelling and tenderness in the scrotum that has not gone away since the abcess is no longer there. The abcess was not on the scrotum but very very close to it. IS Augmentin a good treatment for the scrotum swelling and tenderness? I am 46, Type 2 diabetic and a heart attack survivor with 7 coronary stents. There is no history of cancer in my family

Yes augmentin is very good drug in abscess because abscess usually cause by staph or streptococcus and for that augmentin is good drug without resistance.
Daily dressing needed in such case.
