Hi I had an abscess on my butt which was drained by my doctor about 5 days ago the area now that I can touch it is really hard internally the abscess was deep so they had to cut it I m not feeling any pain or discomfort I was just wondering if it s normal to be hard after all this time?
As per your history is concerned it is good no problem at all finish antibiotic course first and if you have no pain then no pain killer is required at all. Just give warm compression to improve peripheral blood circulation only. “After” that it will be soft within few days. You can use an electric hot pad available in any drug stores.
Hope that helps
