How Can An Abscess On The Gum Be Treated?

i have an abscess on the top part of my gum right above my front left tooth but not near my tooth tho and i have no pain but it s pressure and tightness and i have been feeling really tired and a little weakness in my jaws today. i went to the hospital and they gave me steroids and amoxicillin which i have been on for about 6 or 7 days and already finished my steroids. just kinda wondering when will i start feeling completely better? i take the antibiotic every 8 hrs for 10 days and my abscess hasn t popped yet and also been using salt water like 5 times a day. how can i get it to pop naturally?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Do not try to pop the abscess, it will gradually get reduced as the antibiotic will give the full effect.

So just follow your doctor's advice.
Wish fast recovery.
