Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I got bit at work today I work at a grocery store and it was starting to blister and swell by the time I left I figured it was done since that was about four hours ago now it's throbbing white and red. I assume the bite was from a spider since when I realized there were two half moon like parts that first swelled I never saw the spider but now it's blistered worst and throbbing what should I do
Well, it is looking like the bite site has got infected along with the allergic inflammation that has occurred due to the toxin injected under the skin by the spider.. You should take anti allergics like Levocetrizine and along with it take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen. You should clean the area with antiseptic solution like Povidone Iodine and then apply antiseptic ointment over it.. Keep the area clean and avoid scratching to prevent infection. In case if it still does not heal then you should consult an Emergency and get a script of antibiotics..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
