How Can An Ankle Sprain Be Treated?

I was walking up a high ledge, and I slipped and fell backward. When I did, I twisted around and twisted my knee. I heard a pop. I was able to get up with the help of my daughters but felt faint and nauseated for a while. I took a 600 mg ibuprofen and got ice on it about 45 minutes after it happened as I was not near a store, and we are on vacation. I ve iced it three times for 20 minutes each. I m elevating it now and have wrapped it with an athletic bandage. Am I doing the right things?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, knee joint is very fragile joint and easily damaged particularly meniscus the internal part of knee joint and that need to be taken care, if this is the history of fall then it is advisable to go for imaging studies like x-ray and MRI till then do not try to bend the knee joint, you did the right thing but consult the doctor is important hope this information helps.
