How Can An Ear Infection And Hearing Loss Be Treated?
I have an ear infection, that I believe was caused by me having the flu.....I went to my family doctor, he prescribed amoxicillin, for ten days but it didn’t help, I have set up an appointment with an ENT Doctor, this has been going on 4 weeks, I have no pain, I do have hearing loss....
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
There could be tympanic membrane (middle ear) problem which needs to be evaluated by ENT doctor.
Sometimes, simple infection or pricking pins or ear bud can also cause this problem. So, better to get it checked by a doctor and treated accordinglly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Maheshwari
