How Can An Ear Infection Be Treated?

My daughter has been dealing with an issue in her ears. It is like sores and there are hard crystals under the skin. She can pick them out and they make a cracking sound when she picks at them and they look infected. She stays with my sister and helps care for her. Several months ago before my daughter lived with her her daughter had moved in with my sister and brought bedbugs. The apartment was treated and thought to be free of them but lately they showed up again. She is a very clean person and always has been. She went to urgent care and they just said it was an infection and gave her antibotics. What type practice should she go to for help. Please help!!! Thank you!
