How Can An Ear Infection Be Treated?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. It depends upon whether the ear infection is in the middle ear (behind the drum) or in the canal. If it is in the canal, then you will need antibiotic ear drops not pills. If it is behind the drum, then the Bactrim drug should work. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Kathy Robinson
