hi mam/sir,i understand that you got addicted to a wierd habit.rather than trying to know the ill effects of eating soap, its better to concentrate on how to get rid of it.but as you have a doubt, let me tell you that any soap can contain chemicals meant only for external application.if taken by mouth, effects may not be immediate but in a long run it damages the useful flora in your intestines thereby making you liable to
diarrhoea,
vomiting, bacterial infections of gut, candidial mouth infections,
malabsorption etc.usually its the will to stop a habit that is very important.from your description,i feel you have a strong will.i advice my patients to do the following to get rid of such habts:
1)first please tell your parents and teachers about it and also convey your strong will to refrain from the habit.it will help you a lot as if you are going back to the same habit, they would warn you.
2)whenever you feel like eating soap, just have something which you like the most like a chocolate, chipsetc.of course its very difficult but not impossible.
3)keep yourself busy such that you dont find time to crave for it.for this you can do some puzzles, mind games like sudoku etc in your free time.
4)last but not the least is please practise
YOGA and
MEDITATION as they help a lot to improve our self control over mind and body.
so,where there is a will, there is a way.you many fail a 100 times but shouldnt step back as you may win the 101th time.all the best.i hope to hesr from you that you have successfully refrained from your habit soon.take care.bye.
