Hi, thanks for using Healthcare Magic.
I understand your concern.
A
perianal abscess is a condition in which the rectal space filled with pus and pus appears around the anus.
Signs and symptoms of this disease is mainly that pain in the
rectum and become more severe when moving or while stretching. Other symptoms include:
fever,
constipation, difficulty in urination. Sometimes the rectum may feel hot, painful and swollen.
There may be signs and symptoms that are not mentioned above. If you have concerns about a particular symptom, consult your doctor.
The primary treatment that can be performed for perianal abscesses is surgery to open and absorb the abscess. In most cases, the patient will be outpatient, which means you can go home after surgery. If the abscess is too deep, the doctor will ask the patient to be hospitalized until the abscess is completely discharged.
Patients often experience pain after surgery and the pain can be removed by sitting in warm water 3-4 times per day and the use of painkillers. Stool softeners are used to prevent and treat constipation. Patients can use antibiotics to relieve symptoms that appear. However, this treatment method is not a substitute for surgery and removal of an abscess.
Postoperative complications may occur, such as unfinished recovery, recurrence of the abscess, and fistula formation. The presence of wounds makes the anal glands experience swelling. Holes are usually formed within 4 to 6 weeks after removal of the abscess and surgical procedures are required.
To fasten healing process, you can eat many protein (egg, fish), but if this condition continue, call your doctor immediately.
