How Can An Infected Carbuncle On The Head Be Treated?

I have an open infected carbuncle on my head. I am putting on fucidin 2%. My question is can I wash my hair with this open wound?. I haven t washed it in a week. I have been wiping my short hair down with a wash cloth but I feel I need a good ole shampoo. Thx for any information.

Dear yes you may wash it after washing you can dry it properly. use oral antibiotics like Amoxiclav thrice a day for five days. along with it local application of ointments like Mupirocin or Metronidazole and Pivodine etc..
