I hav a wound which is having a layer of pus on it.the layer burst after touching it and it flushes pus out of the wound.i got this wound from a minor bike accident i had got tetanus injection imidiately and have got my wound cleaned by nurse ....by the wound is painful and has puss layer which goes while bathing and comes again after few hours...Can i use a normal bandaid for the wound...for better recovery
Most likely the white coating is not a pus but a type of tissue covering the wound (fibroblasts mostly). If its pus, the would should stink. Generally regular dressing change, washing it with antiseptic (Octeniline for example) are the right things to do. You can cover the wound. Especially if its large.
Hope this helps. Regards.
