Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

A biopsy and culture would be better to find out what organism causing the infection and to find out best antibiotic. You can step up to higher antibiotics after discussing with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
