hello my husband has a inguinal hernia. hes had it for a year now. he has going to the va for health care but has done nothing about. it comes out all the time 4 plus times a day very big he pushes it back in very painful when doing it and it goes down to his testicles a lot he gets sick all the time what should he do to get this done when the va wont

Hi thank you for querry,
indirect complete inguinal hernia.
In such situation the hernial contents goes to testes and came back.it also cause the impotance and loss of libido.
one comolication that may occur is strangulatio,when the hernial contents goes inside and can,t came back its a surgical emergency to prevent contents ischemia mostly the gut part,
so to prevent any complication its better to consult a general surgeon after proper workup and anesthesia fitness surgical mesh repair required.
