In 5th grade, I had taken a hit to my shoulder during football that caused quite a bit of pain but nothing that worried me. A few days later I noticed when I raised my arm out to the side of my body, my shoulder was flat on top, my medial deltoid was not firing. My parents took me to see an orthopedic and he told me that my medial deltoid had been pushed behind my outer deltoids and that it would eventually pop back out. With it being almost 10 years later, it still has not popped out . There is a noticable lack of strength compared to my good shoulder, still. Even after lifting 5 days a week the past 8 years. And my outer deltoids have grown to compensate for the lack of a medial deltoid.. I am aware that it has been for too long for a chance to fix this, but would like to know what happened to me. Since unfortunately the doctor I had seen in 5th grade didn t care enough to even to more than look at it.
