How Can An Itchy Rash In The Groin Area Be Treated?

I have a rash at my panty line and it does not itch just burns when cleaned or creams are put on it. It has been 2 weeks now and it is not getting better. It is on both sides. I was just in the emergency room and am wondering if it is staff infection. There is no bumps no oozing no itching just a red rash.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your history I think it may be fungal infection or contact dermatitis. You can apply Clotrimazole ointment locally, tablet Fluconazole after consultation. Keep that part dry. Kindly consult with dermatologist for detailed examination.

Take care.
