How Can An Itchy Spider Bite On The Left Arm Be Treated?
Hello, I got bit on my left arm near my shoulder by I think a spider on Sunday night, I only see one puncture. it is red about the size of a tennis ball but is not inflamed. The area is hot and very itcy. I noticed a few Black Widow s outside our home and a different spider orange with brown and white strip legs.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I understand your concern.
You have allergic reaction to spider bite. The surrounding inflammation is bodily reaction to the bite.
- wash the part with soda bicarb water thoroughly. Try to locate &remove any hair like stinging mouth part of spider.
-Apply Soframycin & Betamethasome cream to the lesion (mixed ) and Take Cetrizine pill with Combiflam (over the counter),if there is more swelling.
Consult your doctor if there is no relief in 2 days.
Thanks
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale,
