How Can An Old C-section Scar, Which Started Discharging Fluid, Be Healed?

I have an 18 year old c-section scar that startedweeping serous fluid. I have not been active or doing anything out of the ordinary. I have not worn any different clothes either that might have irritated it. It als feels like it is bruised and is tender to the touch.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

From your description, it appears that there is a sinus or fistula which has been developed in your old C-section scar. It might have been inflamed as well.

Kindly get it clinically examined by consulting Surgeon, so that it can be managed appropriately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
