I have an ulcer on the inner side of my breast. I had developed a rash caused by staph auereous about a month ago and one area on my breast had multiple areas of pustules. I was given antibiotics and prednisone , I still have scars and a few new rashes popping up but developed an ulcer on the breast. What can I do to make it go away?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for the quwry. I understand your concern. Recently you had a course of antibiotics &have repeat infrction again. This shows two things-The previous course of antibuotics was in sufficient OR you have reduced resistance &so are attacked by infection so soon. In this conditionyou need to get investigated ( complete blood counts / culture &sensitivity of a swab from recent ulcer on breast.) Consultation of an expert surgeon for prescibing suitable antibiotic, anti inflammatory pill, with supplements of vitamin Bcomplex, vitamin A , vitamin C. Management of local lesion with proper cleaning, removal of debris & application of antibiotic cream... to be done daily till the infection goes away completely. Try to improve your resistance with high protein diet, iron supplements along with vitamins as said before. Thanks.
