How Can Ankle Rolling Causing Instability With Loose Tendons Be Treated?

in one year i have rolled the same ankle pretty badly 3 times, do i have ankle instability? (level 10 gymnast) I first rolled it/sprained it last Oct., & I never quite let it heal properly. Then this summer, around June, I rolled it, & I got back into skills too quickly. Recently I rolled it when i took one step to go downstairs. I went to the doctor recently bc there s a bump on my ankle that s gotten bigger every time I ve rolled it, & he said my tendons are loose basically. With how easily it rolls/sprains, i was wondering if i have ankle instability, or what i should do to stop this from occurring.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I think you are having ankle instability due to overstretching of your ankle due to your job. You should get your MRI of ankle done to confirm the diagnosis. You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Vitamin B and C will help in process of healing. You may need crepe bandage or support to promote healing. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Wishing you good health. Take care.
