How Can Anxiety Along With Depression And Insomnia Be Treated?
Hello, I am a minor and suffer from anxiety which has lead to my depression and paranoia. How can I talk to my psychiatrist about being prescribed? Or is there another form of medication I can get that will help? My anxiety also prevents me from sleeping as well.
Hi, thanks for your question. I can understand your concerns after reading your query.
Answer:Mood disorders (such as anxiety and depression) and insomnia can be treated by a number of treatment modalities e.g. lifestyle changes, counselling, psychotherapy and medications.
It is recommended that you see a psychiatrist who will take a detailed history about your conditions and perform a clinical assessment including mental state examination. Please, answer their questions and tell them exactly how you feel. If necessary, they will prescribe a medication (maybe temporarily) for your sleep problem and mood issues.
Hope this helps. Feel free to ask if you need further clarification
