How Can Anxiety And Insomnia Be Treated?

I am a hospice nurse. Ativan, and restoril do not seem to help patient s anxiety. Patient will stay awake sometimes most of the night and all day. Also, valium does not seem to help either. This information is according to patient s spouse who is the care giver. I am wondering what can we offer to help calm him down.

Hi , if the patient is elderly then initiating on T.Quietiapine is warranted. It ll be started at 12.5 mg dose.

I would suggest assessment by a Psychiatrist .

Will be happy to review.
